brothers and sisters in Christ
Yesterday
our suffering Serbian brothers and sisters in Kosovo and Metohia,
southern Serbia, experienced another great tribulation and
persecution from the Albanian extremist. About couple of dozen
people were murdered, hundreds of them wounded, numerous houses
set on fire, four Orthodox Churches totally destroyed and the
oldest Seminary in Prizren burnt.
Big
tragedy not just for the Serbs and the Orthodox world but for
the entire civilized World community! These Churches which were
destroyed were built in the middle ages, beautiful frescos and
icons and other Church historical and cultural items destroyed!
As your
priest I encourage you to intensify your prayers and fasting
during this sacred time of the year - Great Fast for our
suffering people.
